The Race

There are many things I like about running. I love the feeling of wanting to quit and walk about not walking because you know that at the end you will regret walking. The Christian life is a lot like cross country..... You have parts in your race that are flat. You feel like you are on your safe ground. Then There's the hill. It is hard getting up. You have to find that energy within and you may just want to walk. Then you get to the top and you realize that you are stronger because of that hill and your adrenaline helped. There are different paths you can take. Not everyone has the same path to take. If you look closely, you can see they are always marked so you know what one to take. There are the fans that are cheering you on, yet the crowd that is trying to bring you down. Then you start to see the finish. You get to the finish and get the reward of finishing. The reward is spending the rest of eternity with our heavenly father!

Tomorrow is my first cross country meet of the year. I am a little nervous but not as much as i usually am. We are running on the new course and we aren't liking it as much as our old course but we were also spoiled by having such a nice course before. Today we got our warm up t-shirts and had a spaghetti dinner which was a lot of fun. Next spaghetti dinner is at my house! So tomorrow at 5:00 think about me running up the hills! I don't have a good picture of a meet from last year so here is a picture of yesterday's sunrise.

Summer

Last weekend my parents went ATVing without me so my cousin came to stay with us! We had a lot of fun! We stayed up almost all night watching movies, eating popcorn, and making strawberry smoothies! I had told my neighbor that I could babysit on Saturday before I knew that Liz would be coming so she just came with me and we had a lot of fun going down the slide, playing trackers, and changing diapers. On Sunday we sent Jack to camp!!!!! It is so quiet in the house! My mom and I are going to deep clean his room today! I did mine on Sunday! I also started cross country on Monday. I am so sore! But it is a lot of fun! Anyway.... that is what I have been up to for the 1st 5 days of summer.

a first

today i had another cross country meet and right now i am on the bus on my way home. my dad came as he a
ways does but as he was leaving he asked me if i wanted his phone for the bus ride home. i thought he was joking so i smartly said of coarse. when i told me that he was serious i was stunned. so of course i desided to blog on the was home. i didn't have a very good run today because i am getting my cough back.

Cross Country meet!

As I said this morning, today was my first Cross Country meet. It was our first meet at home for middle school! It was very hilly so we had the advantage of practicing on the hills! Overall I didn't do too bad. I of coarse wish i did better but did better than I did my first meet last year! Plus we have only had 9 practices so far. One funny (wasn't funny at the time) that happened or I learned was that I need to go to the bathroom before running even if I don't need to go. Lets just leave it at that. I think you know what happens next! Now I am showered, smell better and ready to go to bed!

100th Post and 1st day of cross country

Today was the first day of cc! It was a lot of fun considering it was the 1st practice. But I am lets just say sore, dehydrated, and having a hard time breathing. I marked my territory on a tree for the first time. I up chucked! I felt much better after! My 1st meet is in 9 days.... ouch! Today is also my 100th post! Now all I have to do is get to 1000!

Seriously, I am sore!

Today I started Cross Country! I am sore and stiff! I have a headache! But I had fun! Ashtyn and I are both running! It was hard because I did not run much this summer! That is all I have today! I thought you might want to know what is going on because I will not be not the computer as much so whenever I am on I will try to blog!
